magandang hapon po sa kinauukulan
ako po ay may nabasa na goat dispersal na ginawa ng Department of Agriculture tungkol sa Goat dispersal (dairy Goat Saanen) noong nakaraang taon nais ko lang po malaman kung ano po ang nangyari sa mga Dairy goat na ito sino sno po ba ung nabigyan mga ilang taon bago ulit mag disposed ng mga nasabing kambing?

Tulad mo nabalitaan ko rin ito, pero hangang sa ngayon hindi ko na alam kung ano ang nangyari rito. Sana naman hindi ito napunta sa mga ma impluwensyang mga pulitiko at doon inilagay sa kanilang naglalakihang farm.

yes sir medyo may katagalan na nga naka quaranteen ung mga kambing pero ano na kaya ang nangyari bigla na lang nawala sa circulation ng mga nagkakambing! may module eto na purebreed saanen buck at mga doe at may mga island born din na i dispers daw ng D.A. marami kasi mga Goat raisers din na myembro ng mga group na umasa. may mga nakausap din ako at na nagtatanong kung ano na ang nangyari wala kasi kasagutan sa mga katanungan ito.

Last December 16, 2010 we collected five American Saanen does and a buck from CLSU as part of PL 480 Goat dispersal program. Oyibos Goat Farm is one of the approved recipients of the program which as of yet has been subject of many discussions.
Our initial assessment of the goats looking at their size and ‘scent’ (they smell pine wood which may be attributed to the crate they were transported in), they are indeed from the US. Distribution of the goats was through drawing of lots.
The goats were all registered with ADGA and most of them have good pedigree with some of the dams and grand dams certified between 4*M to 6* M. The sires are also of good lineage (*B or ++*B).
What makes it more interesting is the likelihood of 4 of the 5 does are pregnant. The problem though is the sires are not traceable.
The does have adapted well with their new environment. They have no problem with the concentrates they have been given but preferred dried legumes initially. After 2 to 3 days they were happy with the fresh napier and legumes. The buck was a little bit problematic suffering from running nose and cough when we took it from CLSU. We gave it a dose of anti-biotic and regiment of Celine drops and it has slowly gained appetite.
All 6 goats came from different farms in the US. We do intend to communicate with these farms to keep them abreast of the status of their former goats.
The goats were apparently ear tagged in CLSU or where they were quarantined in the US. The goats bear tattoo marks underneath both of their ears which corresponds with their ADGA Certicate of Registry. Some of them also had neck tags.
The people from DA Region 4A and BAI have been very enthusiastic of this program. At least from our side, Oyibos Goat Farm will endeavour to make this program a success.
We are not sure though if there are still goats to disperse under the current PL 480. If you want to know more information, please contact your regional DA office and BAI.

Hello; If you can provide me with the tattoos located in the ears of the recent PL480 goat shipment I can help you trace where your goats came from in the US. 18 of the goats came from my farm. I know personnally many of the breeders that sent goats to you as well. If you have pictures of your new goats please share those with me as well. It will help in the search.
